STEM

science, technology, engineering and mathematics

Welcome to St Cuthbert’s STEM page

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. STEM is important because it is present in every part of our lives. By exposing our children in school and at home to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will hopefully develop a passion for it and pursue a job in a STEM field.

Here you will find videos uncovering different jobs in the STEM field, photographs of our children taking part in STEM activities/challenges in class or in the wider community and every week we will upload an activity you can carry out at home together as a family. Remember to send us any photos of you and your families completing these challenges so we can share with our school community.
