Practising place value

Year 2 have been working very hard in Maths, learning about and exploring numbers up to 100.  They have been looking at different ways of representing these numbers, thinking carefully about the place value of ‘tens’ and ‘ones’.  They have been practising making a variety of two-digit numbers for themselves using ten frames and ‘base ten’ equipment.  They have been challenging themselves to represent these numbers in a variety of ways, using their knowledge of ‘exchanging’ ten sticks for ten ‘ones’ to help them to do so.  Well done Year 2 !
