Y2 Home-Learning Zone 3 (Monday 4th May – Friday 22nd May)

Here you will find everything you need for the next block of home-learning time…

Note for Parents about Home-Learning

**Some activities include following links to other websites such as Youtube.  Please supervise your children when accessing these external sites.  Please monitor your child’s use of Youtube as adverts can appear before, during and after videos, in addition to other videos recommended.

Please collect work into your child’s blue folder so that, when we return to school, they can easily share with me everything which they’ve done and learnt.  (If children complete other activities or work not listed here, they are still more than welcome to keep it in their blue file and share it with me upon return to school.)  Please see below for activities for each day…

** This is a stressful time for us all, both adults and children, full of challenges and uncertainty.  Please don’t worry if your child cannot complete all of the work set every day.

Daily tasks

There are some activities which should ideally be completed every day, wherever possible, including:

  • reading aloud to a family member
  • spelling practice
  • times table practice

There is also a range of activities which children can complete every day on their own when they choose.  (It is not expected that they access all of them every day…unless they wish!)

  • Lexia (if your child has an account)
  • Mathletics (earn points to work towards your next certificate)
  • Times Table Rockstars (earn coins for each correct answer and spend them in the TTRS shop)
  • Phonics Play

(Links for these sites are available on the school website in the ‘Homework’ tab at the top of the homepage.  There are also additional website links on this page which you may like to explore with your children…)

If you are able to print out the worksheets for the children to complete that would be ideal.  However, please don’t worry if you are not able to do this; children can answer the questions in a notebook or on a piece of paper instead.
