How can we be a good friend?

Recently, Year 5 came to visit Year 2 to share their RE work based on friendship.  The older children explained what being a good friend means and how we can be a good friend.  They worked in small groups to talk about the topic and answer the younger children’s questions.  The Year 5 children had also created colourful and informative posters about friendship which they used to share their ideas.  Both the Year 5 children and the Year 2 children enjoyed the session, reflecting on the importance of friendship.

The children finished the session with Year 5 teaching the Year 2 children a section of ‘Babu Yetu’ – The Lord’s Prayer in Swahili, which they then sung together.  It was a lovely way to end the afternoon.
