Year 2 have been working hard on their Puppet project as part of their ‘Textiles’ work in DT.  The children have researched puppets, including the key features, their purpose, materials they are made from and how this material is joined.  They then set about designing and planning their own hand puppet.

The children then got to work making their puppet of their chosen animal.  They practised their cutting and joining skills, showing just how careful and safe they could be when doing so.  The children worked hard on their sewing skills throughout this project.  Once finished, the children then evaluated their puppet based on their plan.  They were very proud of their work and rightly so.

I’m sure you will agree that their puppets are wonderful and their hard work in their DT lessons is clear to see.

Well done Year 2!
