Today, Year 2 attended a Multi-Skills PE festival at St. John’s alongside 9 other schools. The children were split into two teams, working their way around a carousel of activities which were designed to test and improve a variety of PE skills linked to a variety of sports. They completed activities related to: hockey, boccia, tennis, kurling, basketball, handball, cricket, golf, dodgeball and football. All the children worked very hard, encouraging each other and working well within their teams. At each station, they earned points. The children worked worn out by the end of the morning, but they thoroughly enjoyed the activities and found the morning a fun and rewarding experience.
Through their excellent effort and teamwork, our two teams achieved 1st and 3rd place. Well done Year 2!
