This term, Year 6 performed ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at the Gala Theatre in Durham as part of the ‘Shakespeare in Schools Festival’. They worked incredibly hard in rehearsals, learning their lines well, developing their confidence and stage presence, and creating complicated stage combat fight choreography. The children showed great professionalism when working in the theatre during tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals, before their performance to a packed auditorium. They performed extremely well, telling one of Shakespeare’s most heart-breaking tragedies with excellent emotion and drama. All of the staff were incredibly proud of every single member of the cast. Well done Year 6!
