Recently, our two Lead Shakespeare Ambassadors attended a training day with their fellow ambassadors from other schools in the cluster. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to meet each other and share ideas. Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of activities which were designed to help them develop their leadership skills, grow in confidence and think of ways in which they can inspire others.
They considered the qualities which Shakespeare Ambassadors should have which would help them in their role.
They worked with each other and the other ambassador across the cluster in team-building activities as well as drama tasks. They also developed their skills in public speaking and using their voice, body language and vocabulary to encourage, inspire and help others.
It was a wonderful, creative day, with the children also planning their projects which they will lead in their respective schools and communities to promote Shakespeare and the Arts. It was very special having all of the ambassadors together and seeing the enthusiasm and passion they have for the role. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds!
