Year 4 have been thinking about Changes of State in Science, developing their understanding of the water cycle. Based on their learning about changes of state, and research on the water cycle, the children created their hypothesis. They then thought about how they could test their hypothesis.
The children created their own mini water cycles in a bag, comparing different bags to discover what impact the sun had on the process. When talking about their findings, and comparing the results to their original hypothesis, the children thought carefully about how to use the terms: ‘evaporation’, ‘condensation’ and ‘precipitation’ correctly.
