During the Autumn term, Year 4 have been taking part in FISCH sessions which help children to learn how they can look after their bodies through healthy eating and exercise. The children enjoyed playing a wide range of games and testing their skills in a variety of activities and challenges over several weeks. They also learnt more about healthy choices they can make everyday to help their minds and bodies stay strong.
‘Dragon egg’ game:
‘Colour cone’ game:
After discussing lots of different types of fruit and vegetables, the children were given a challenge: they were blind-folded and were given a piece of fruit to taste. They then had to guess which fruit they had eaten. Despite some children feeling nervous about now knowing which food they would be given, all the children were very brave and rose to the challenge. Well done everyone!
After our FISCH sessions, the Year 4 children certainly know a lot about how to stay fit and healthy!
